Knapp am Podium vorbei aber trotzdem zufrieden!!!
Von Startplatz fünf gestartet konnte ich direkt in den ersten Runden einen Platz gut machen und auch in der Spitzengruppe mitkämpfen. Leider ist das überholen auf einer OLD SCHOOL Strecke wie Zolder relativ schwierig und auch mit einem gewissen Risiko verbunden. Ich habe zwar alles versucht um noch auf das Podest zu kommen aber letztendlich hat das nicht mehr geklappt.
Als unverhofft Zweitplatzierter im BMW M2 Cup reise ich dennoch hochzufrieden weiter zum WRC Lauf in Belgien der jetzt am Wochenende (13. bis 15. August 2021) auf meinem Programm steht.
Danke an alle Unterstützer, besonders Pole Promotion rund um Dennis Rostek und BMW für meinen kleinen Abstecher auf die Rundstrecke, jetzt geht es aber wieder zurück ins Rallyeauto.
Just past the podium but still satisfied!!!
Having started from fifth on the grid, I was able to make up a place in the first few laps and also fight in the leading group. Unfortunately, overtaking on an OLD SCHOOL track like Zolder is relatively difficult and also involves a certain risk. I tried everything to get on the podium but in the end it didn't work anymore.
As unexpected second placed driver in the BMW M2 Cup, I am still very satisfied and continue to the WRC rally in Belgium, which is now on my program for the weekend (13th to 15th August 2021).
Thanks to all supporters, especially Pole Promotion around Dennis Rostek and BMW for my little detour to circuitracing, but now it's back into the rally car.
